Q + A

What's the best airport to use?

Luxembourg Airport (LUX): Our top recommendation. Simple, direct access to the city center via free public transport or a short taxi ride. Brussels Airport (BRU): An alternative for those who do not want a layover. Please be advised this requires a 2hr 30min drive to Luxembourg City and 1hr 45min drive from the Château. Guests will be responsible for their own rental car and parking fees.

When should I arrive and leave Luxembourg?

ARRIVAL: Thursday or Friday morning. We recommend staying in Luxembourg City through Friday night to join us for the Welcome Dinner. DEPARTURE: Due to the timing of international flight schedules, we suggest flying out of Luxembourg Airport (LUX) or Brussels Airport (BRU) on Monday morning. We recommend booking a hotel in the city of your departure on Sunday night. AIRPORT HOTELS: LUX we recommend Moxy Luxembourg Airport. BRU we recommend Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel.

Wish to travel after the wedding?

One of the best parts of Luxembourg is its central location. If you’d like to extend your stay, Paris is just a two-hour high-speed train ride (TGV) from the Luxembourg City station. Additionally, the Luxembourg Airport (LUX) offers direct, short flights to nearly every major European city. We estimate to be back from the Château latest by 4pm on Sunday if you wish to make travel plans.

What's the easiest way to get to Luxembourg City from LUX airport?

TRAM: Highly recommended. Clean, safe, and free. The station is located right outside the airport; the ride to the city center takes less than 30 minutes. TAXIS/UBER: Readily available at the terminal. TIPS: Public transport is free throughout the entire country. We suggest downloading the Mobiliteit.lu app for real-time arrival info.

What should I do in Luxembourg City?

We are so excited to share Luxembourg City with you! We are currently curating a list of our top recommendations—from historic walks in the Grund to our favorite cafes. Additionally, we will be hosting a few informal events leading up to the wedding that guests are welcome to join. We will update this section with a full guide and a schedule of local gatherings as we get closer to the big day.

Transportation between Luxembourg City and the Château?

COMPLIMENTARY BUS SERVICE: For guests staying in Luxembourg City at our recommended hotels, we will provide coach bus transportation to the Château on Saturday morning. A return coach will also be provided on Sunday afternoon following the farewell brunch returning to the city latest by 4pm. DRIVING YOURSELF: If you prefer to drive or are staying outside of the city, there is ample complimentary parking available on-site at the Château. We will be sharing booking details for transportation shortly. Please keep an eye out over the coming weeks for a follow-up with instructions on how to confirm your plans.

How can I book and pay for my room at the Château?

The process for booking and payment is currently being established. We will be sharing booking details for room accommodations shortly. We will provide updates and specific payment instructions to those who have indicated interest as we get closer to the wedding. NOTE: As the venue has been reserved in its entirety, all room payments will be handled directly through the Bride and Groom.

What if I prefer not to stay overnight at the Château?

While we would love for everyone to stay and celebrate with us, we understand if you prefer to return home. Please note that our provided coach transportation only returns to Luxembourg City on Sunday afternoon following the brunch. Guests choosing to leave on Saturday night will need to arrange their own private transportation back to Luxembourg. Guests are welcome to drive back to the Château on Sunday morning for the Farewell Brunch. TIP: If you plan to depart Saturday night, we highly recommend pre-arranging a private car service in advance, as taxis are not readily available at the Château.

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

At this point in time we are unable to accommodate any additional plus-ones to our wedding. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Am I allowed to bring my children/pets?

We love your little ones and furry friends, but our wedding will be an adults (humans)-only celebration. We kindly ask that you make other arrangements for your children/pets so you can enjoy the evening with us. The only exception to this rule is of course Daisy.

Are you registered for gifts?

As many of our guests are travelling, your presence truly is our present. We do not expect anything further. However, if you feel inclined to give a gift, we are hosting a Honeymoon Fund to help us create lifelong memories on our trip to Japan! Please see the "Registry" tab in the menu to view more information.
